ancco - Keeper of the Key

We team up with celebrated Tokyo-based artist ancco for a collaborative T-shirt commemorating her first international ceramics exhibition, on display at our London store throughout September 2023. Upon first glance, ancco's work immediately denotes a 'kawaii' aesthetic with her cute characters and colourful compositions, however dig a little deeper and you'll find themes of lost childhood and nostalgia alongside critiques on contemporary society and politics. All of which, coupled with her fascination with worn-out soft toys of yesteryear, create a unique aesthetic that seamlessly encompasses illustration, ceramics, digital design, apparel and more.
